The thing I love most about Cove
is how organically it came to be. I never planned
on designing dancewear, but once the idea of Cove
came to be, everything made sense.
Cove found me. I wasn't looking to do dancewear, even though I had grown up dancing my entire life. It wasn't until I had been asked to freelance designs for my Uncle's dance competition company, that I realized I should be making dancewear. At the time I was designing for Tommy Hilfiger and really enjoying designing ready-to-wear clothing. But once I started tapping into my dance roots through design, sparks were ignited!
Like I said, dancewear wasn't fully on my radar, but the universe kept drawing me towards it in more ways than one. It was very clear to me that I was meant to start Cove and make my dream of owning my own label true. And being able to bring my two greatest loves of dance and fashion into one beautiful brand, well that is a dream come true.
My Grandfather has always told me to do what you know and love best in life. And dance and fashion design are the two things I know best. It is a blessing to be able to use both of my passions on a daily basis through Cove. I am constantly excited about the potential and future of Cove. To me, it is so much more than a dance brand, it's a lifestyle. Cove will continue to evolve a lot in the coming years and I am so excited to see where it goes!
Everything in my life prepared me for Cove. It's combining my
two worlds of dance & fashion into one.
For me, it's the perfect love story.
